Participating in the Federated Search Engine
The federated search engine
The federated search engine allows a simultaneous research in multiple databases by using a single tool. The display gives a brief overlook of responses to queries generated through the search engine and provides a link for consulting the responses directly in the original database.
Contribution to the federated search engine
Databases belonging to private or public organizations can be part of the federated search engine. In a perspective to collaborate with these organizations, we invite all of you wishing to participate in this project to submit your database so that the federated search engine can conduct a search into it.
The participation to the federated search engine is of interest to genealogists and family historians that can discover new databases, their existence and potential. It also contributes to the diffusion of websites tied to the federated search engine.
Criteria to respect in order to associate your database
The databases associated to the federated search engine must however respect certain criteria.

- They must include names of individuals on a priority basis but not exclusively and contain genealogical or family history content.
